Why Do I Sometimes See a Void Button for Credit Card Transactions and Other Times a Refund Button?

Credit card transactions can be voided only until the credit card processor settles their daily batch. This typically occurs around 5:30PM EST on the day the transaction is created. Until the credit card processor reconciles with the Cloud system and pulls down the daily transactions for processing transactions can be voided. 

 

After this window has closed, a refund must be issued. Please keep in mind that a refund can take up to 30 days to appear on the customer's credit or debit statement based on the terms of their issuing back.
