How Do I Charge an "As-Needed" Client?

Created by Alsabana Sahubarali, Modified on Mon, 4 Nov, 2024 at 9:09 AM by Alsabana Sahubarali

Periodically a returning client will call and want to either resume regular service after several months, set up a quarterly schedule, or set up cleans on an "as-needed" basis. So, what's the best way to handle these situations?

Most commonly when a client calls back after a few months without service, the clean is generally treated as an OTC, or an FTC if they're resuming regular service. Because there are months of build-up between each clean, the best way to approach the job is to consider it an OTC and then let the client know if you do end up needing less time, you'll adjust the rate accordingly.

That being said, the decision is up to you, but hopefully that gives you a little clarity on the issue. As always, feel free to log a case with any questions!
