Our marketing team has never seen the BBB as a sizable lead producer. The offices that belong to it may get a few leads a year and it may pay for itself, but they've never seen it produce much more than that.
Â
Our feeling is that BBB membership is good for networking with other local business owners and building credibility when a customer is deciding between one company or another, but not necessarily for bringing in a great volume of new leads. However, some offices do have good luck with the Better Business Bureau, so of course the decision is up to you. To sum up, there's not much harm in trying it out if you have room in your budget. If not, we'd recommend spending your money elsewhere.Â
