What Exactly Does Expense Time Stamp and Marketing Drop/Hit Date Mean?

Entering marketing campaigns in Cloud can be tricky, so we're here to clarify! The Expense Time Stamp is the date that you actually PAID for the marketing piece. The Drop Date is the date the campaign is actually released. For example if you paid for 500 direct mailers on September 15th, but you're not mailing them until November 2nd, your expense time stamp would be September 15th and your drop date would be November 2nd. (Helpful tip: If you forget to enter your expense time stamp, you can back-date the time stamp and it will correctly update your past marketing expenditure numbers.)

So, that's the difference between time stamp and drop date! As always log a case for your Marketing Coach if you need anymore specific help on how to enter marketing campaigns in Cloud.
