When a transaction that includes a tip is voided, the account balance will only reflect the amount due on the job. Gratuity is discretionary, so if a client gives you a check for $100 and $10 of that is a tip, and you then void the check, Cloud will only show $90.00 due on the job. Voiding the check will void the full amount, including tip. However, tip is not automatically removed from the pro's payroll, so you'll need to manually remove this payroll item from the pro's contact page. We know some owners do not by default want to take tips away from their staff if the client issue is not by fault of the staff, as a motivational and management decision, thus why it is left to be managed at the manger/owner determination.Â
The takeaway is that after a transaction is voided, the account balance will not show the full amount of the check, it will only show the amount due on the job.Â
