When a customer cancels you must go in and use the "Manage Key" button to unassign the key. Â Oftentimes customers will cancel, but either forget that they have a key on file or they know they'll be back so they let you hold on to it. Â The key should be unassigned only once it has physically left your office and been returned to the client.
If you have given the key back, unassign it and then next time you receive a key, that number will be reused.
