While I must say we DO NOTÂ specialize in stainless steel repair, here is an old trick that might work.
1. Send an office staff person ONLY, lots of judgment calls to be made!Â
2. Evaluate the fridge, if the scratches are deep or cross-grain, do not attempt to repair and just follow the claim process with insurance. (depending on the expense of the fridge, professionals that can polish the finish back may be employed, but they have specific compounds and electric buffers for the work)Â
3. If the scratches look realistic to try to fix, use Meguiars Scratch X on a inconspicuous corner of the refrigerator, buff with the grain, rinse, and DRY to see if the polish makes things worse or is visible!Â
4. If the refrigerator tolerates the spot test well, THENÂ try it on the offending scratches, buff with the grain, rinse and DRY and hope for the best!Â

Keep in mind scratches on stainless steel cannot be removed, only diminished.
