When the "Email Opt Out" button is checked on a client's account, this removes them from ALL MaidPro email lists (reminders, promos, Tidy Times, etc.). There's no way to remove a client from one list, but not another.
Email Opt Out and Unsubscribe serve basically the same function. The main difference is that it's easy to check off the "opt out" box if a client changes his mind and wishes to continue receiving emails. If a client unsubscribes, we need written confirmation from the client to begin receiving emails again.
